Platform disclaimer
Important notice:
MoDocteur.com is an independent digital platform designed solely to facilitate the booking of medical appointments. We are a technical intermediary and do not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Not for emergencies:
This website must not be used for medical emergencies. In the event of an urgent medical situation, please immediately contact the Mauritius National Emergency Services at 114 (SAMU) or proceed to the nearest hospital.
No healthcare professional-patient relationship:
The use of this website does not create a healthcare professional-patient relationship between you and MoDocteur.com. Any medical consultation or treatment is strictly between the Patient and the independent Healthcare Professional.
Verification:
While MoDocteur.com performs a manual administrative check of a healthcare professional's registration with the relevant medical board in Mauritius (e.g. Medical Council of Mauritius, Dental Council of Mauritius, Allied Health Professionals Council of Mauritius and Veterinary Council of Mauritius) at the time of signup, we do not guarantee the quality of care or the ongoing professional standing of any practitioner. Patients are encouraged to verify credentials independently.
Payments:
MoDocteur.com does not process, collect, or hold any consultation fees. All payments are settled directly between the Patient and the Healthcare Professional at the time of service.
Data protection:
We comply with the Mauritius Data Protection Act 2017. We do not store, access, or transmit medical records, prescriptions, or clinical data.
Pharmacy listings
Pharmacy information is verified administratively against the Pharmacy Board (Ministry of Health) and Pharmacy Council of Mauritius registers at the time of signup. On-call hours are self-reported by pharmacies — always call ahead to confirm. MoDocteur.com is not responsible for the accuracy of on-call information posted by pharmacies.
